Clarence Lions Run the Beaches

A fun run organised by the Lions Club of Clarence to raise funds for various Australian Lions Foundations providing assistance specifically for children in need.

As a result of the coronavirus, like most other organisations, the Lions Club of Clarence has reviewed all activities on its calendar and unfortunately there will be no Clarence Lions Run the Beaches event in 2022.

However, keep an eye out for details of a bigger and better event in 2023. In the meantime, stay fit & healthy!!

Event Information

The Clarence Lions Run the Beaches is a 2km and 5km fun run/walk utilising Bellerive and Howrah beaches. The track starts at Bellerive Beach and loops back along the pathway to the Bellerive Beach Park. The 2021 event will be raising funds for the Australians Lions Children’s Cancer Research Foundation - . The foundation uses the funds to increase survival rates of childhood cancer by supporting cancer research efforts in Australia, and around the world.

At the conclusion of the fun run entrants and their families will be invited to participate in an interactive expo focusing on Children’s Health & Wellbeing.

Organisations that provide sports and activities in the City of Clarence have been invited to participate. The public will be able to personally enquire about services and activities that the organisations provide.

Even though the main objective of the day is to raise funds for the Australians Lions Children’s Cancer Research Foundation, we hope to create an experience that is family friendly and provides great opportunities to the residents of the City of Clarence in the pursuit of sport and a healthy lifestyle. An event that is inclusive of all ages, genders, abilities and ethnic backgrounds. You may even be lucky to win a spot prize on the day.
